A New Jersey native, Lea Michele Sarfati grew up with a nurse and a deli owner. From a young age, Lea was a Broadway star. The singer and actress appeared in the Broadway "Les Misérables" at the age of four and later starred in many other shows including her debut, "Spring Awakening."
